Last week Jemere Morgan’s Transition was NO. 2 on the Billboard Reggae Albums chart, but any hopes of a NO. 1 position on the listing for the week of February 11 were dashed by two sets which have moved back up.

So London McNamara’s A Dollar Short and a Minute Late is the week’s greatest gainer, springing from number six last week to claim the top spot in its eighth week on the chart. The other album in the top five experiencing a new lease on life is Set in Stone (Stick Figure), moving up a place to be number four in its 63rd week on the chart. With J Boog’s Wash House Ting holding steady at number three Falling in Place (Rebelution) and Morgan’s Transition are the two top five albums which have lost ground.

The Rebelution set has slipped only a place to be at number two, while Transition has fallen to number five. Still, it is one of only five albums in the top 15 done by Jamaicans and four are Marleys.

Bob’s The Legend Live: Santa Barbara County Bowl, November 25th, 1979 is sixth, Stephen’s Revelation Part II: The Fruit of Life is 12th and Ziggy Marley’s self-titled set has re-entered the listing at NO. 13,

The other Jamaican is Lloyd Parkes with Time a go Dread, that NO. 15 set a new entry. The other new set is The Elovaters’ The Cornerstone is at NO. 9.

Rebelution has a double presence on the chart, as Live at Red Rocks is seventh. The rise of Iration from 10 to eight is remarkable because the set has spent 71 weeks on the chart. And they too have a double presence on the listing, as Double Up is 10th, up from last week’s 12th slot.
