Howard Sinclair, known as Djani, was born on February 7th, in Kingston, Jamaica. He grew up in Bethel Town Westmoreland, where his music career started. Some of his musical influence are Bob Marley, Dennis Brown, Curtis Mayfield and Luther Vandross to name a few.
Djani is a singer, songwriter, guitarist, recording and performing artiste who has great passion for words, rhythm, melody and song from he was a child. He never lost his passion for music and performance which grew with him as he perfect his art of becoming a professional artiste.
His first ‘Big Gig’ was on the premier Reggae Sunsplash Concert at Jarrett Park. He performed as lead vocalist with the first band to grace the stage and also appeared on other Reggae Sunsplash Concerts in the same capacity.
Over the years, he has done numerous recordings while working as lead vocalist with
resident bands in and around the north coast hotel nightclubs, and concert circuits. He never fails to leave his audiences mesmerized, delighted and enlightened.
Djani has stepped out, making strides, expressing his artistic maturity on the international stage and as toured Japan, England, Canada, Central and South America.
His first CD, ‘Rocking You’ was recorded in Japan, while working with former band ‘The Public Works.’
At a Bob Marley Birthday Celebration in Negril, Djsani moved the audience to higher vibrations with song and dance in an awesome display of rasta reggae artistry.
He performed on Roots Rock Night at Reggae Sumfest in Montego Bay to a well pleased audience and they gave him a much deserved encore for his electrifying performance. With an optimistic outlook, Djani awaits his big break in the music business.
Djani is a true rastaman on a musical mission, with a message of love, liberation, equality and a positive vibration for all.
