Althea Hewitt was born in Kingston, Jamaica. Dynamic, passionate and soulful, are among the many words that describes this beautiful unique brand of talent. Althea has performed throughout her school days at Camperdown High and life journeys have taken her to many different parts of the world.
Althea is a multi-faceted artist who loves writing songs and performing on stage. She was the one of the lead singers of the award winning group, 4th Street Sista that recorded and ruled the cabaret scene for years and later did solo performances at many of Jamaica’s finest hotels.
Her debut album, “Introducing Althea Hewitt” was released in 2008 and since then, she has record quite a few singles that you can hear on both radio stations and media streaming sites.
Althea has worked doing background harmony in both studio and on stage. She has travelled and performed in many places: New Caledonia, an island near Australia, England, Sweden, France, Germany, Holland, Guyana, Barbados, Turks and Caicos and United States just to name a few. She has also toured with the likes of Boris Gardiner, Israel Vibrations, Beres Hammond, Sizzla, Jah Cure and Bunny Wailer. She’s always working on new music and videos to inspire and uplift her fans.
Althea is a melting pot of Reggae, Pop, R&B and Jazz.
