RETRO party, Footloose — under the theme ‘Fashion Ova Style’ – is set to unfold at the Mas Camp in St Andrew this evening.

This evening’s headliner is Sizzla. This is the third time in the series’ 11-year history that the entertainer will take the Footloose stage.

“We wanted to add a difference to the event and we know a performance from Sizzla is long overdue. What better place than at Footloose to showcase his legacy of hits,” said Tyrone Dixon of Broadway Productions, promoter of Footloose.

Sizzla, whose career dates to the mid-1990s, has scored a string of successive hits that have made him a household name both locally and internationally. Patrons can expect to hear favourites including

Black Woman and Child, Just One of those Days, Thank U Mama, Solid as a Rock, Give Me a Try and Take Myself Away.

Other acts, including Beenie Man and Merciless, have performed at Footloose.

“We like to surprise our patrons when they least expect it. Maybe our next event will also have a performance, maybe next year. This is the surprise element of Footloose,” said Dixon.

He said patrons can expect a night of non-stop dancing while reliving the hits of yesteryear.
