AD-V Badbreed

Recently scoring 6th position on the IFE TOP 10 Charts with a single entitled ‘Party Turn Up’, AD-V Badbreed is one of the newest dancehall sensations to emerge in 2017. AD-V Badbreed also known as Kenrick Baxter, originates from Portmore, St. Catherine, Jamaica. His music is influenced by music of the 90’s such as Bounty Killer and Garnet Silk.

Trained as an auto mechanic, fate would have it that Bling Dwaag, a known and loved Jamaican dancehall artist, would visit  AD-V’s workplace one day. AD-V took this brief window of opportunity to share a couple of his tracks with Bling Dwaag, who in return encouraged AD-V to keep up the good work. These simple words of encouragement made a permanent imprint on the impressionable young artist and sparked a fuse for him to pursue his musical career more vehemently.

In 2014 AD-V met an artist named Kulcha Doc who loved his music and offered to work with him on his label, East Vibration Records. In 2015 they Produced numerous tracks such as ‘Remember the Days Them’ on the New Stock Riddim, which received mix reviews. In 2016 East Vibration Records produced another song with the AD-V called ‘Voice Note’ on the Mind Games Riddim, which received many positive ratings. In late 2016 Syndicate Records who produced Bounty Killer and Patexx’ ‘Summer Time’, big hit single, recorded ‘Party Turn Up’ on the XS Energy Riddim, which is currently garnering international recognition.

With increased airplay on stations such as Hits 92, Zip 103 and Irie FM, up-coming collaborations with a top Canadian based artist (Dj Dustin Taylor), on numerous tracks such as ‘X’s and O’s’, ‘Thru the Fire’, ‘2017 is proving to be a sizzling HOT!! year for AD-V. 2017 AD-V Badbreed has made a lot of an impact in the music industry 2017 with track entitle sing fi mi a smooth sex crossover track of dancehall and hip hop! “Give it to me” and “mi fi tell”were greater success targeting the female fans. He made a track with teeonthebeat called pressure,reflecting on his past which was well delivered raising eye brows attracting simple youths productions to do another single called “TRY” on the mystic life which features Gage,Vershon just to name a few big acts on the project.
