Shornette ‘Abiona’ Mcnight born in the parish of Portland on the 8th of October 1975. Her family moved to Roehamton, Montego Bay when she was only four. By the age of eight she started singing on her father’s sound system with her sister Sherene as the disc jockey. Shornette showed her talent from back then by clashing with her older brother Greg as a medium to developed her musical capacity.  

At the age of ten the family moved to St. Thomas and Shonette graduated from St. Thomas Technical High School. After graduation she did some television commercials and photo shoots. She ventured into Kingston and started doing old hits parties on the week-ends. The response from the crowd was fabulous.   

Abiona performed on the Hage Show in Trelawny with King Yellow Man, who she met when he heard her in a studio he was visiting.  That was a great experience.  

She later met musician Mojo Herb and they moved to Negril and started performing there.   

Abiona’s release a song titled, “When I Say I Love You”, which is getting good air play in Europe.
