On December 1 and 2 when Chronixx takes his Chronology Tour to local audiences, Protoje will also be sharing his work with music lovers.

Protoje and his Indiggnation Band will perform a full set on the shows set for the Mas Camp in St Andrew and Montego Bay’s Pier 1.

Speaking to the Jamaica Observer at the launch of the Caribbean Tour at the Jamaica Pegasus hotel in St Andrew on Wednesday, Protoje said audiences can come to the event prepared for an experience.

“It was a no-brainer to decide to be on this show once Chronixx call me. They are always there for me once I call them, so I really just have to return the favour. Me and Chronixx have done many shows internationally but have never done a show together in Jamaica, so it’s about time. People will really love it and I am thrilled to be part of this for sure. People know how Protoje and Indiggnation get different on stage…we get crazy. People always ask why mi so calm and I always say I’m saving my energy for the stage. Chronixx is going to do what he does, which is give an amazing show. I’m a big fan of his and he is a big fan of mine separate from being bredren so its always good to see each other perform the art, plus they just added Eesah to the line-up., who is a really good up-and-coming artiste, so it’s gonna be a joy.”

The singjay is still reaping the benefits of his last major project, Ancient Future, released two years ago, but that has not stopped him from putting in the work in the studio and releasing singles. Protoje had a busy summer playing a number of the major events across Europe and North America and spot gigs in Africa, specifically Ethiopia, buoyed by the popularity of the biting track Blood Money.

“It’s been a good year. The summer was crazy, I’ve just been all over the place. Blood Money been tearing up all of Jamaica and I just released Truths and Rights. I’m gearing up for lots of new music next year and possibly a new project,” Protoje added.
